08.00 - 13.00 and 14.00 - 18.30 - Monday to Friday

Could we please ask where possible that you allow 72 hours for collection of prescriptions and medication.

How to order

These are the ways you can request your medication:

• Click on Login to SystmOnline Online Services 
• Click on the NHS App
• Place your request in the post box at the front of the surgery
• Send your request in via post
• PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICATION REQUESTS VIA EMAIL

Please allow the surgery at least 3 working days to process your repeat prescriptions; we will not be able to dispense your prescription without 72 hours notice.

Please check with your designated pharmacy the timeframe on prescription processing.

For safety reasons we do not take prescription requests over the telephone

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to speak a clinician at least once a year to review these regular medications. Notifications of this should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Help with NHS costs

In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:

• those on specific benefits or through the NHS Low Income Scheme
• those who are age exempt
• those with certain medical condition

NHS Charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

• Prescription (per item): £9.65
• 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £111.60
• 3-month PPC: £31.25

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 15 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
